The New Striker Class Punches Its Way To MapleStory 2 With The Awakening Expansion

maplestory 2 striker bgThe Awakening Expansion, the biggest Maplestory 2 game update to date, has just hit the servers bringing with it a boatload of new content including the new Striker class. The Striker is a melee brawler who uses powerful punches and kicks to take down opponents in close quarter combat.

“Striker never expected to become a hero or to stumble into the grand events. His mission was to only protect those in Kerning City who had no one to help them. But fate had its designs on the fighter, and as he ventures forth to Tria and beyond, the forces of darkness will be quick to realize that a disciplined mind and brutal technique are a match for even the grandest sword!”

The Awakening also introduces Rank 2 Job Skills for every class, including the Striker. The Rank 2 skill trees will become available at Level 60 and kicking off the new Awakening storyline. Players will earn Rank 2 skill points as they level up towards the new Level 70 cap.

In addition, the expansion also comes with six new Hard Adventure Dungeons where players can earn epic gear sets, and three new Chaos Raids where legendary gear are up for grabs. And that’s not all, the expansion also opens the doors of the new Eye of Lapenta zone which includes four new dungeons along with a new customizable skill system that uses Lapenshards to unlock and equip new passive and active skills.

To help you get started in the Awakening, Nexon will be giving out a variety of in-game goodies for simply logging in to the game from now until June 26th.
