Thought i post a most played thread again from the xbox store. Its been a while. Some interesting things. Sea of Thieves jumped pretty decent. Is now at #19 in US and #15 in UK. Apex cant really keep up with Fortnite and is dropping. Mortal Kombat is pretty high in the US. Monster Hunter was out of the top 50 for a while. Since its in Gamepass its back and sits arround place 30 since its been added. Forza Horizon 4 is doing really good. In the UK the best but in US its doing a very good also wich isnt that common with racing games. Division 2 is doing oke. But not very high for the game it is. Anthem? Yeah..

Haven't kept up with these lists on either console but I noticed no Anthem. Has that been the case for a while now? I remember it topping sales charts at least...

FH4 top 10 in the UK is very impressive.

It's got more players than RDR2...

It managed to get to the 4th or 5th spot during the peak launch window, but dropped sharply.

$60 broken, poorly designed games, cobbled in 18 months sink to the bottom.

Ppl underestimate Roblox.

Funny thing...my kids like playing it on PC more. One reason is I need a new XBO controller, lol.

Might go to Best Buy soon.

We've also been playing BO4 lately. That and Siege.

I see why those are so high.

Should I be playing R6 Siege? It seems to still be going strong and I am a fan of team shooters but I just kinda wrote it off at launch and glossed over people bringing it up on podcasts. At this point though would it even be feasible to get ok against what are probably multi year veteran murderers?

Minecraft and Roblox are always underestimated. Especially on this forum. I mean Roblox is always forgotten in exclusive lists and Minecraft is always forgotten regarding studios etc.

It's a steep learning curve but because there are so many variables and because a headshot means a kill a veteran murderer can be caught off guard.
It has SBMM too so if you're struggling you should be paired with others in the same boat.

Personally it's one of my favourite games of all time, put around 500-600 hours into it.

Playground hit the nail with FH4, the seasons are an amazing feature to keep the game fresh, and there are a lot of things to do, the seasonal events, the daily forzathons... And the support with free updates is being awesome, can't wait for the next expansion.

That's not an excuse, R6S released the same year and it's been on top almost all the time. A great game is a great game no matter how old it gets, people will stick around and it will have legs.
H5 is just a bad game and a bad Halo, Considering that Its also on game pass it's embarrassing. Hopefully they Infinite will turn things around.

OT: FH4 and SOT great performance.

Yeah because R6 is is always getting updated. They just announced a new character. Hyperbole is wild.

Funny because RB6 was considered a bad game at first. Biggest thing is that RB6 is still getting updates and new soldiers etc. They moved that game more to a continued game instead of a new release ever so much years.

I only tried SoT because of the gamepass rewards quests (I had no idea they'd just given it an update!) and was really surprised at how much I was enjoying it and how much time I put into it. The only negative is that I don't like the combat at all.

I'm not at all surprised that Forza Horizon 4 is doing well in the UK as the setting seemed to generate a lot of interest. It's also nice to have a game based in the UK which isn't just set in London.

Uh no. Rainbow six is on its 4th year of continued updates with no sequel in sight. Halo 5 got 6 months of updates and then the team moved to making a new game. If there weren't any updates for r6 people wouldn't keep playing it. Ubisoft has different intentions for that title

I thought halo 5 was a fantastic game but I stopped playing it because I moved on as did 343.

Acting like H5 didn't get any update at all, H5 started dropping already one year after release and it was at top 15. Hyperbole at its finest.

That's not the only reason why they kept gaining players and stay on top.

Ones a game as a service title that consistently updates the other isn't not that hard to understand

It's insane how roblox is consistently ahead of Minecraft given how much it sells.

R6 success and H5 failure is not only tied to updates. Overwatch is another example too. Players just didn't stick around in Halo and it dropped to top 15 one year after release.

Halo population drop is not only due to lack of updates and more to do with how the game was.

Blaming on updates is just stupid.

And it's on game pass too!

Fair assessment. I do want to add though, Halo 5/MCC are not promoted like R6 Siege.

Ok. Siege was not what it is when it launched. They turned it around, and a huge part of that are the frequent updates that are still going on to this day. Halo 5's core components aren't something that can really be adjusted on the same scale of something like R6. So if people didn't take to it why would they stick around 4 years later, on top of the game not receving the usual, monthly updates that modern titles enjoy?

There will always be people who play games, and people who play only one game.

At interesting to see how low the ratings are for some of these games and yet still you see them in the top 30.

Dude, the fact that halo is still in the top 50 while a game like Anthem isn't even in tells us that halo 5 isn't a "bad game".

It's ok that you don't like the game but that doesn't mean it's ok to project.

I am a big halo fan. Been there since day one with CE til HW2 and every copy. Thousands of hours in H5 too. So don't mistake my post as a Halo hater.

Damn that's quite low for Division

Hope working with the Avatar IP gives Massive the room to be more creative in their design. TD2 is well made, but by god is the presentation front completely stale.

FH4 has really done the business with player retention this time round.

A GaaS doesn't mean people will play your game, but if you do it right, it will give your game some serious legs.

Warframe is still doing good numbers even though DE are imploding a bit.

Most people will boot a game up to "check in" every time there's something new, regardless of how old it is. It happens with literally every game. If you stop updating the game then yes, it will drop in popularity. These days, games need a regular influx of content or the popularity drops. Updates create interest in the product.

It's wild that Destiny 2 is beat The Division 2 and Anthem still.

People are stupid. Everyone complains on here that they're not going to buy the next destiny game, and theyre clearly still playing it.

Division 2 is an excellent game by the way. So much shit to do, I'm loving it.

I find the position for Ark interesting. I don't know much about it other than it seems to have a really bad rep on here so it's position looks really high.
