Interesting that they attempted an open-world Splinter Cell.

I always thought Splinter Cell would work really well as an Alpha Protocol, semi-open world setup.

Was Crew 2 really that bad ?
Or is there just no space for casual racing games anymore except Horizon.

The sad thing about the Crew is that, now, since the most recent update, it's the game it should have been at launch, but it's too little to late for many, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them shut down.

Which is a shame, because now, it's a pretty decent game, I wonder if they could self publish and go down the F2P route, because the core is ideal for F2P.

Not bad per say, but there was just way, way too much missing at launch.

What I would do for a Splinter Cell game inspired by Ground Zeroes. Come on Ubisoft, you guys make everything open world. Just look at MGSV and improve on where they went wrong.

That list of what all the studios are working on is inaccurate and missing a lot.

As people said before, this "leak" is probably fake. Montreal has numerous studios yet the only game they can verify is the Assassin's Creed game? Like, ffs WD3 is the biggest open secret from Ubi right now, and there is zero mention of it.

Also Toronto works on multiple projects, and Montreal always heads up development for FarCry games. Toronto is behind Starlink.

I just don't believe they'd get to the point of putting Ironside in Wildlands and then cancel whatever the associated Splinter Cell project was.

Nah.

Just sell the IP to somebody who will make use of Splinter Cell if they really dont have one in the works.

Far Cry IP needs to end, seriously. Far Cry 5 was a total letdown and the fun factor in those games are ruined by its collectathon approach and too-big-for-its-own-good open world. Cannot believe another friggin' Far Cry takes precedence over Splinter Cell.

TO be fair, turning Splinter Cell into the kind of massive GaaS title Ubi makes now does seem like an incredibly difficult task.

And the stuff about SC? :)
It's impossible for me to definitively say "There is no Splinter Cell game in the works" (and, knowing how Ubisoft functions, it's likely that there's some project in pre-production that will one day take on the Splinter Cell IP) but everyone I've talked to who knows things about Ubisoft has said that as far as they know, there's no Splinter Cell coming any time soon.

Blue Byte, Ubisoft Montpellier, Bordeaux, Sofia and Barcelone are working on BGE2
That's the thing, Ubisoft don't really develop in a single studio, and that's the reason why this rumor is fake, as that list is too tight to be realistic. Most studios work on 2 or 3 titles at the same time. That's why their production pipeline is so great and efficient.

So, why should I believe this one over any of the 10 other 4chan 'leaks' that occur every day?

Also, Farcry 5.5 has happened. It's called Farcry New Dawn.

It would be hilarious to see if the next Rabbids game don't have Mario characters at all. Rabbids only game. I'm not buying that kinda thing even if it was amazing.

Ah oke thanks. More maybe if you heard about the VR SC game and alot of studios taking a jab at it?
