They've said raytracing isn't coming till after launch, not sure how they are pulling off those reflections in the footage.
Sigh...PC version with a GTX 1660 at 1080p for $24, or Series S version with eventual ray-tracing for $60? 🤔
Probably just the planar reflections that they used in the previous ganes for those mirror like surfaces.

Nope! We upgraded the engine with screenspace reflections. Best thing? It's backwards compatible with the previous two games in the trilogy and lots of surfaces has been upgraded. It's pretty stunning I gotta say!

Thanks to Giant Bomb videos, this will be my first Hitman experience and man does it look good. Seconding the hopes that the balloon can be used for nefarious purposes.
It is like being spoiled on a dark souls game. Technically you are spoiled but you wouldn't really understand what it means anyway and it doesn't matter.
Imagine it's the same tech they use in 2. SImply render the image twice. Expensive. Check out DF vid on it.

Where is it $24? I don't think any Epic coupons apply to prereleases.
It's not great, but somehow it adds to the nonsensical comedy for me a bit. Hyperunreality.
EDIT: Not to mention like half of the NPCs seem to be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal (or at least it seemed that way in the first game). I'm surrounded by Yosukes!

Looking forward to this. Just started Hitman 2(already finished the first one)and really enjoying it so far.
The reflections in that video aren't screen space are they? (on the outside of the building in Dubai, where non screen space objects are shown)
I assume those are the non raytraced reflections to which the user was referring.
Hitman 2 used them in a handful of places for mirrors.
Whatever the case , I can't wait to do it all again for the 3rd time and see what other amazingly realised environments and architecture you've put together for the new content- it's my most anticipated game by far!
