Funny, even in the retraction they refer to it as GT7, probably should have at least said "any future games in the Gran Turismo series" instead or something like that.

Sorry, this denial smells like bullshit. There's no way that logo was just a random mock-up. I think Sony lawyers just knocked on their doors and they had to deny it to maintain the surprise.

I had not seen that logo before, unless they made it. Hmm.

And they only deny the launch information. Hmm.

I'm confident that if they wanted to use a pre existing mock up they'd have used one that we could easily google within a couple of minutes.
They lyin.

There is a logo that looks somewhat similar that I stumbled across on Google Images, but it's ultimately different in typography. I'm struggling to link it but it's the first thing that pops up.

Ok I'm wavering now. That seems like such a poorly written statement that it sounds like it couldn't have been vetted by Sony and so this must be fake. 😂

I love how their denial just made it worse lol. I went deep diving and couldn't find anything regarding that logo.

Was it rumored that Sony's June event was originally planned for May?

Assuming this is real, maybe the plan was to reveal Gran Turismo 7 in early May, with Next Level planning to promote this shortly after the reveal.

lol this is so strangely worded it makes me actually more convinced this is real 😂

They aren't denying they know about GT7... Just information about its launch... lol

Also, I've never seen this logo circulate around the internet.

Someone at Sony be like..
iu

I 100% agree
They provide absolutely no explanation for where the logo came from
"circulated on the internet" means nothing

Both the Twitter and Instagram posts have been taken down. I think it might have been real lol. Follows the theme of a few of their other promo posters and images too, and I'm not sure a licenced partner would necessarily randomly fake a logo like that. Guess we'll find out soon lol.
yep! lol

Did this logo exist online before this 'leak'. They said it was a common fan logo so it must be around.

They could have said "we made a mistake regarding games advertised" kinda statement.

That response about GT7 is specific enough that these dudes jumped the gun. They're using a logo nobody has been able to find elsewhere.
