It's been a long while since this mod released, and months ago I promised to make an update focused on fixing most often issues and adding bit of extra content into the mod.
Let's take a look into it!
With a bit of both coding and VScripting, as much as help from few others, I managed to add an achievement system. Credits go to alex_mmc for the sourcecode part and samisalreadytaken for their amusing work at making "accurate but not actual steam notifications" possible.
LaD currently has 21 achievements in total that you can spend hours hunting for.
There were few instances when people asked to change the protagonist's appearance. So there you have it! Now you can unlock few outfits for protagonist after you complete certain achievements.
After beating the main campaign, there's also 8 more short maps that you can try playing. Each map consists of some isolated environment from the main campaign, but you get a different objective, like surviving hordes of enemies for set amount of time, or maybe eliminating them in a limited time.
But aside from all these features, I also did a bunch of quality-of-life changes, I tweaked the game's balance in parts where players suffered the most, returned back the difficulty selection and added localization support. Aaaand many more small things.
I hope you're gonna enjoy playing the updated version and that it's not gonna be broken as hell! Make sure to leave your feedback below.

This is replacement sound pack from The Forgotten Ones for Lost and Damned.
A small sound pack that replaces the sound effects to match the atmosphere of original Resident Evil 1 (NPCs, weapons, inventory and physics).
i'm having issues with the movement of the character, I got myself soft locked and I can only go backwards and forwards, I can no longer turn left or right, is their a fix so I don't start from the beginning?
Hello. Sorry for late reply, I was just told the fix from someone else who had it.
You need to change player costume(hopefully you have it unlocked, or just try reapplying default one), then load the bugged savefile and it should be fixed.
very cool mod and also my first time playing resident evil style game bust my only complain is that the zombie moves really fast than then player and made me die so many times.
Has anyone tried this on Steam Deck, how does it play?
Never used Steam Deck, but I saw someone managing to launch LaD on it.
I'm not sure about the controls though. The janky movement in Lost and Damned works only by WASD and it doesn't really work with joysticks, unless you find a way to map keyboard keys to a steam deck stick.
Thank you for quick respond. I still recommend including readme text file inside the game archive. It is a good practice. I completely disagree with you about controls. RE3 allows you to run into wall and if you do so you will move alongside the wall while in your mod you will just stuck in the wall until you backpedal or do a 180 degree rotate. It is just very painful.

is that the metal pipe sound effect when you hit stuff??? lmao
Awesome job! I like how unique the camera system is! Also zombies from this mod have been recreated in Garry's Mod as an NPC mod, here is a showcase featuring it: Youtube.com
Keep up the good work!
i wonder what happened to the addon creator before the addon's workshop page got screwed.
I just posted a comment on there about 30 minutes ago, did the workshop page get taken down?
Nope, just take a look at new screenshots from there. I wonder whether creator's account was hacked, or it's something else I'm unaware of.
Oh I see what you mean, those screenshots weren't there a week ago, not sure what happened.
