"Obviously we haven't put anything out there [definitively about the NX]," Hines said. "It's absolutely something that we're looking into and we'll see what comes of it."Hines noted that the decision isn't one made by Bethesda at large, however. It instead is on a developer-by-developer case within Bethesda depending on the games being made, the specs of the platforms those titles are being considered for, and other development factors.
"The NX is absolutely on our radar and something that we're looking at, but it's always a game-by-game, developer-by-developer evaluation," Hines said. "Not, we sit back as a publisher and say, 'We're going to support the NX."
Hines also spoke at QuakeCon about the chances of sequels being made for Rage and The Evil Within.Though little has officially been confirmed about the Nintendo NX, several other industry executives have commented on the console's potential, including Ubisoft's CEO Yves Guillemot and Take-Two's CEO Strauss Zelnick. A recent report also offered more possible details on the console, suggesting the NX might be a console that can be docked into a station to be played on a TV or be taken on the go.
While at QuakeCon, IGN had a chance to see more of Bethesda's suite of upcoming titles, including Quake Champions, Prey, and Doom VR.
